The key to happiness
Just a little bit of automotive advice....
Before hiring a mechanic, before bumming rides off of co-workers and ward members, before taking away your sister's access to a non-airconditioned vehicle for 2 weeks, before complaining to everyone about how inconvenient unexpected car troubles are, before buying a $560 fuel pump, and before you have your hired mechanic install that mechanical rip off under the back seat of your car....
Check to see if you are using the proper key.
Such a simple task may require that you tear up your house in sheer frustration hoping you didn't accidentally throw your keys away like Chad did his wallet... It may shine light on the fact the Chad doesn't really have the special automotive touch that allows him to turn the car on and Rachel to not like he may have once thought.... And it may keep you up at night wondering why in the world you would ever have put the keys in the pantry with Nike's dog leash.... But it will save you $700.
Trust me. It's worth it.

A series of fun-fortunate events
Let's start with Memorial Day weekend....
We had a family reunion...
The only event I had planned for was the 30% chance of rain.... Which actually didn't start until we were leaving...
The day started with a cute little two year old sitting in our back seat asking us over and over again what song we were listening to.... The answer was always "Superman" and despite our efforts to assure Amara that wouldn't change until the CD was over, she still wanted to know every time the music changed ever so slightly "What this?"
And then our cute little two year old threw up. Twice. We kinda started wishing she felt well enough to ask what song was next again....
So our two hour tour turned into a 4-hour adventure full of lots of wipes, a couple of gas stations, a very inconvenient traffic jam, a new outfit from Walmart that lasted a good 20 minutes, and a cute little two year old that decided to sing about daddies on the bus who say I love you and e-i-e-i-e-i-o.... :) She feel asleep about 10 minutes before we arrived at Grandma Mimi's.
As soon as we arrived at Grandma's, grandma asked if I was pregnant.... Gosh dang it, I wore the wrong shirt. But yes, I'm pregnant. And because grandma knew we decided to announce it to my immediate family too.
And here's what we saw all the way up the canyon on the way to the church....
Ain't no getting around that guy....
And to top off my already all over the place hormones, dad got popped in the eye on only his second pitch in a game of friendly family baseball. A lovely trip to the ER and 9 stitches got him out of the family portrait I'm sure he never wanted to be in anyway.
But we had good food, an old slide show, and a newlywed game with more contestants than an audience, so it all worked out!
Finally, look at dad and Mara on our Memorial Day BBQ just a couple days later..... See Rachel, they're just fine! No need to cry over a little spilt blood and a lot of Mara's breakfast toast. Things always work out.... And make great stories to tell in years to come.
